Primary Job Description:

The OE Engineer will be assisting the OE Manager as the primary technical resource for the interfacing with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) field sales and OEM product teams. The OE Engineer will be assisting with coordinating the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the OE Manager providing technical advice on the OE products and services.

The OE Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. They must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the development and sales process. They must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

 

Required Education and/or Experience

A minimum of three (3) years experience in the automotive industry and/or experience working with OEM's. Must have demonstrated capabilities using integrated business systems and data management, experience with OEM business development.

Must have a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in Mechanical or General Engineering (BSME), or in Computer Science or related technical field is strongly preferred. Federal safety regulations and other tire industry norms; international industry quality standards verification systems; and project planning and execution methodology.

Must be highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), as well as any database applications used for reporting.

Must be detail oriented and self-motivated, have excellent problem analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with department and other company personnel to meet corporate goals.

Must have strong personal discipline, leadership, management, communication, negotiation, and excellent interpersonal skills.
