Position OE "Trailer" Truck Tire Sales Manager

Company International Manufacturer and Distributor of Truck Tires
 

This company specializes in the development, manufacturing, sale and distribution of truck tires.  They are rapidly growing and looking for an "OE "Trailer" Truck Tire Sales Manager". 

Special note: This position is for selling medium truck tires, not ST tires.

The OE "Trailer" Truck Sales Manager will have the responsibility of managing and securing new original equipment trailer accounts.

The OE Sales Manager is expected to be fully knowledgeable about the Company’s products and be able to make presentations to prospective and current OE customers regarding the features and benefits of their product line.

Job Duties:

  • Visiting the headquarters location and major plant locations 2-3 times per year, as a way to foster good communication with the customer and ensure the customer considers our company for all new business opportunities.
  • Liaison between company engineering/supply chain, and the customer’s purchasing, marketing, and engineering organizations during the implementation phase of all new business, to ensure timely and smooth start-up.
  • Work with the customer and company OE support team on any emergent matters involving quality, cost, or delivery.
  • Develop future business opportunities at plants where company has wheel positions as well as at plants where company currently does not do business.
  • Responsibilities include visits to new prospects to introduce the company and its products, quotations, arranging for sample tires, following up on sample testing, and working with the OE customer service team on new orders and delivery tracking.
  Required Experience
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent life/work experience. Minimum of 2-3 years of commercial tire sales experience having account responsibilities with either OEM or other large tire dealers and users.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professional and courteous in all forms of communication. Ability to write emails, letters and other routine correspondence in a clear and professional manner.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
