Well established multi-state wholesale tire dealer is seeking an experienced "Wholesale Tire Distributor Sales Manager".

You will be responsible for the sales operations of this wholesale tire distributor. Direct the sales operations for multiple locations and their sales teams.

Job Duties:

• Manage sales in multiple wholesale distribution centers
• Complete P&L responsibility
• Plan all sales initiatives and set all sales quotas
• Develop marketing programs for all product lines
• Manage all salespersons
• Develop and enhance vendor relations
• Manage and coordinate training programs throughout distribution centers. 
• Keep distribution center management staff informed of company activities that could impact operations.
• Perform managerial duties including:
• Interview and evaluate applicants and hire qualified sales candidates for open positions in the distribution centers.
• Conducts performance appraisals
• Adheres to equal employment opportunity and nondiscriminatory guidelines.
• Holds team meetings, provide effective communications and leadership for all sales personnel
• Coaching and training all personnel
• Ensure overall internal and external customer satisfaction
  

Knowledge and Skills:

• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of wholesale tire sales and distribution.
• Requires a broad knowledge of tire brands and sizes
• Team building skills demonstrated by the performance of a tire distribution sales team.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems as they occur and achieve results by working in partnership with staff and company management.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of management and staff

Required Experience:

• Bachelors degree in business or related field, or a combination of education and 3 years of tire sales management experience in a wholesale environment
• 3 years of sales management experience leading teams of at least 10 people
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Highly effective at training, developing and motivating a high performing team that is dispersed throughout the region 
• Skilled decision maker
• Complete understanding of wholesale tire sales
• Computer proficient
