A regional multi-location commercial tire dealer is in search of a high caliber "Inventory Control Manager". This dynamic company with a solid foundation is willing to invest in those people who want the best out of their career.

Each of the companies 44 locations has the primary responsibility for their inventory but the ICM will assist the company and the locations in multiple ways

Job Duties:

  • Training managers how to utilize inventory re-order reports
  • Setting min/max levels based on sales history
  • Monitoring the usage of the reports
  • Oversee inventory set-up process and check for accuracy
  • Run reports periodically to validate items are set up correctly
  • Make sure inventory items have correct marketing PDF’s and UPC codes attached to each item
  • Create sales sheets from slow moving inventory
  • Monitor new tire adjustment credits
  • Manage costs and selling prices/GP %’s in the point of sale software
  • Order certain products with long lead times and oversee their ETA to keep continual flow of needed products
  • Track and communicate the inbound orders;
  • Work to maintain the correct inventory at each location to attain inventory turn goals
  • Maintain price sheet on sales and on-line portals
  • Travel to locations 1-2X per month to “audit/spot check” inventory
  • Track manufacturers’ rebate programs against purchases using multiple spreadsheets.
 

Required Experience:

  • Position requires strong interpersonal skills
  • Average computer experience with Excel/Word
  • Ability to work independently while handling multiple tasks without direct supervision.  
  • Commercial tire knowledge preferred but will invest in training the right candidate.
  • Over night travel when auditing distant locations.
