International tire distributor is seeking a "National Tire Sales and Operations Manager" for the United States tire market.

Highly recognized passenger and truck tire brand

Experience with container direct sales programs is helpful.

Job Duties:

You will be responsible for generating & enhancing the replacement sales in PCR & TBR category.

  • Creation of distribution network to ensure primary sales.
  • Doing secondary sales activity for demand generation.
  • Should understand and measure sales programs of different companies. Propose and drive marketing activities to deliver budgeted quantities.
  • Co-ordination between distributor & factory to ensure excellent service support to the customers.

The role is responsible for implementing sales improvement agenda, distribution and developing preference for the company brand

Sales Development & Channel Management

  • Implement sales and distribution plans to meet customer requirements
  • Ensure that all customer orders are met through prompt deliveries, continuity in supply and maintenance of optimum lead time.
  • Identify new business opportunities by tapping the potential customers.
  • Follow up on self-generated leads and leads generated from the company
  • Identify, sign-up and train distributors/Sub Dealers
  • Plan, design, develop and implement different sales activities by researching the customer's needs and requirements
  • Ensure that all the sales and marketing activities are carried out within the agreed budgets, volume, sales, and within the given time scales
  • Constantly review distributor's performance and monitor their work, so that relevant information can be provided to the management
  • Provide information to corporate departments based on the feedback received from the customers

Marketing Activities

  • Conduct market research and surveys to study the competitors and their marketing and sales strategies.
  • Attend the trade shows and exhibitions
  • Execute marketing efforts to reach regular sales targets
  • Work with the marketing team to develop appropriate specific marketing materials

Supply Chain and Logistics

  • Plan and coordinate with 3PL for timely dispatch of material.
  • Liaison with Central Supply Chain team at Houston office to ensure continuous flow of material in order to ensure uninterrupted supplies.

Documentation, Reports & Research

  • Prepare information on distribution channels on regular basis.
  • Collect market operating prices of different companies and share price movements.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and deviation reports for the markets assigned.
  • Achievement of sales revenue & volume targets
  • Identification & closure of new channel partners
  • Adherence to companies marketing plan
  • Ensure timely collection of due payments in the cluster
  • Ensure adherence to all international trade laws
  • Represent company at Trade Shows, Dealer Shows and trade association shows to ensure awareness, growth and expansion of our product(s) lines in the marketplace
  • Frequent ground and air travel required - up to 75%
 

Required Experience:

  • Preferably with a degree or diploma in Marketing or International Business with relevant work experience
  • At least five (5) years related work experience within tire industry
  • Should have prior experience in these markets & tire segments .
  • Effective organization, presentation, communication (verbal & written), and interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficiency with Word, Excel & Power Point required
  • Analytical, interpretive, and basic math skills
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Work hours will vary to meet business needs and required performance
  • Maintain home office and variable work environment
