    Truck Tire Center Manager

Exciting opportunity for technical shop manager with established Truck Shop in Chicago. We are looking for a top notch candidate with the necessary technical and management experience.

Duties

*Promote sales growth and profits of tire shop
*Handle all problems that can't be handled at a lower level (customer, personnel, mechanical).
*Enforce and practice all company safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees and customers.
*Training of management staff on understanding monthly budgets and monthly P&L statements.
*Ensure invoices are turned in daily.
*Review daily tickets to insure correct pricing.
*Keep labor and parts prices updated.
*Bring mistakes to the attention of shop personnel so they can improve.
*Ensure all employees are trained properly and follow procedures set forth.
*Do weekly shop schedule, maintaining minimum overtime to keep labor within budget goals.
*Ensure cleanliness of the shop, inside and out, and stock levels are maintained.
*Ensure all shop personnel are in approved uniforms and follow uniform policy guidelines.
*Ensure shop personnel act and look professional.
*Reprimand managers/employees, terminate as needed.
*Ensure service equipment is in good working condition and well maintained.
*Do monthly evaluations on new hires after 90 days and all employees quarterly or as needed.
*Hold shop training meetings at least bimonthly to keep all personnel informed on pricing, policies and procedures, sale tires, and other merchandise.
*Attend upper management meetings, as required and communicate with upper management on a regular basis.
*Count tires after every shift and keep a tight control on tire inventory.
*Do monthly inventory counts as required and turned in by the first of the month.
*Perform inventory spot checks weekly.
*Evaluate and document any return job problems and be able to remedy the problem and communicate this to upper management.
*Maintain a profitable business unit.
*Update all national accounts daily.


Required experience

*Must have a working knowledge of the shop industry.
*Must be able to be on their feet for extended periods of time.
*Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
*Must have basic typing skills and an understanding of the computer.
*Must display use of good judgment and demonstrate leadership qualities.
*Must be able to supervise 10 or more people.
*Must work a minimum of 50 hours per week, available day or night as needed.
*Must be available to work weekends/holidays and be on call 24 hours/7 days a week.
*Must have the ability to read and understand monthly P&L statements.
*Must have the ability to read, follow, and implement budget controls.
*Must have reliable transportation and phone.
