General Summary:
The Supply/Demand Planner is accountable for managing inventory and all its components to ensure that inventory and service levels are within targets defined by leadership and can support the supply & demand planning forecasts
- Overall responsibility for managing inventory levels for a set of products/vendors/brands to support demand while meeting inventory turn and service level targets
- Work collaboratively with other planners, vendors and other parts of the business to ensure that inventory and purchase plans accurately reflect future forecasts as well as operational constraints
- Monitor receipts of promotional, seasonal and new item purchases, working closely with vendors and logistics partners.
- This candidate would have the potential to grow into a Director and Senior Director role in the future.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales, margin, in-stock and inventory targets.
- Develop and maintain inventory and purchase plans using JDA Fulfill and Order Optimization module
- Provide inventory, receipt and shipment forecasts to Inventory leadership for inclusion in submitted forecasts to finance and logistics partners.
- Develop actionable plans to meet inventory goals
- Use input from the analytics team to determine appropriate safety stock levels and replenishment parameters
- Review alternate / deal buying opportunities and make decisions on purchase quantities and timing based on targets defined by leadership
- Monitor inventory and service level performance and resolve exceptions
- Generate and analyze inventory and service level performance reports
- Manage/resolve stock-out occurrences
- Generate appropriate aggregations of inventory data to facilitate cross-functional communication
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Planners, and Analysts on item flows, JDA forecasts, seasonal plans and advertising schedule.

Required Experience:
- 5-10 years of Retail industry experience in Merchandise supply & demand planning
- 5-10 years in manufacturing production planning (domestic and import)
- Undergraduate degree: Industrial distribution, supply chain, or business equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- JDA Forecasting & Replenishment
- Master’s Degree in Supply Chain or MBA an asset Supply Chain Certification
- Experience in an S&OP environment
- Microsoft office: excel/access
- Quantitative products: Mathematical and strong statistical knowledge
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Motivated self-starter
- Ability to calculate and analyze key forecasting metrics
- Business/financial acumen and Supply Chain knowledge
- Communication and influencing skills
- Good judgment and decision-making ability
- Time management and organizational skills
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing constraints i.e. minimum run requirements and capacity requirements
- In-depth knowledge of production of tires and the complexities involved, molds, turns per day/month, etc.

- Bachelor’s degree required
