Job Duties:
The Service Manager supervises and coordinates the service department's daily activities. He or she drives improvement and achievement of key service-related metrics such as Quality, Gross Profit, Productivity, Efficiency, and Safety. This position adheres to and promotes the Company’s vision, mission, and core values while contributing to the success of their location and team.
- Personnel: Supervise and direct service technicians to best fit customer needs. Provide training to newly hired technicians and retraining of all technicians as needed or required. Insure technicians maintain the required company or regulatory certifications. Monitor work levels and review performance. Recommend personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, discharges, and discipline. Supervise daily huddles with service team. Be willing to participate in workload when required.
- Safety: Promote a culture of safety. Abide by all OSHA and TIA requirements. Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or safety violations. Investigate accidents/injuries and prepare reports of findings as directed. Participate in and/or conduct safety meetings.
- Property: Conduct and document vehicle, equipment, and physical premise inspections as required. Maintain all service-related assets. Manage inventory and conduct counts as directed.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Follow SOPs and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Budgeting and Financial Knowledge: Be aware of the center’s budget and conduct service and inventory practices to fulfill goals.
- Sales: Conduct walk-in sales and support the efforts of outside sales staff. Adhere to proper billing and customer service standards. Maintain knowledge of directed portfolio and commercial service products.
- Customer Service: Greet customers and present a positive image. Assist with billing, answering phone calls, and performing service work as needed to achieve efficient service. Must be willing to be hands on.
- TIA 200 certification: You will be asked to obtain and maintain certification
- Leadership: Take responsibility for the location’s smooth operation in the manager’s absence.
