Position Service Trainer - Commercial Tires

Company Regional Truck/OTR Tire Sales, Service and Retreading Company
 

Due to a senior service trainer retirement a position has become open at one of the best Commercial Tire Dealers in the country.  This large dealer is seeking a person with uncompromising dedication to safety for both the associates and the company's customers.

Ideal candidate will have in depth knowledge of safety procedures while working with large commercial tires, the ability to influence others directly or indirectly in a professional manner.

This position is available immediately

  • Must live in region of responsibility
  • You must be legal to work in the USA
  • Travel requirement = 65%, primarily by vehicle
  • Work from a home office

Job Duties:

          • Management Duties
  • Provide counseling and discipline action as needed with the assistance of the store management
  • Manage, monitor and deliver monthly service manager conference calls.
  • Review "On Call" declines daily and address issues with service managers/managers
  • Monitor and review MCSN metric scores with service managers/managers
  • Execute Company's Model Shop and strive to adhere to all MCSN quality and safety standards
  • Be fluent in the MOC & Fleet HQ operating programs
  • Stay up with the most advanced improvements in the tire service industry
  • Calculate service manager monthly bonus
          • Inspection Duties
  • Make regular visits to assigned locations and document your visit with a report to Corporate
  • Perform branch service safety inspections including OSHA compliance, forklift training, service truck audits/inspections and spot inventory checks
  • Assist with setup and preparation of new locations and store relocations
  • Compare physical assets in store to assets in Asset Management system
  • Review vehicle preventative maintenance compliance with service manager/manager
  • Always be alert for and address safety hazards, unsafe practices and unsafe conditions
          • Training Duties
  • Manage, schedule and deliver TIA 300 technician and MSHA annual certification training
  • Provide new service technicians with ‘hands on’ training described/designed by company curriculum
  • Inform and train employees when current work technique is inaccurate or unsafe
  • Offer training, support and answer questions from new service managers
  • Participate in Management meetings and provide training updates when requested
  • Plan and deliver annual training meetings for all service managers
  • Review company's GLC/On-Line training requirement compliance with manager/service manager

  Required Experience
  • Must live within the territory of the designated branches
  • Currently hold or plan to attain TIA 400 Instructor and MSHA Certifications
  • Must have safe working and driving record
  • Travel and overnight lodging required
  • Demonstrates safety and quality initiatives consistently
  • Enjoys working with all employees and demonstrates team work and self-motivation
  • Has demonstrated to be a provider of a very high level of customer satisfaction
  • Computer skills: AdAM (don't let this be a deal breaker), Microsoft Excel data reporting/sorting, Outlook, Word, smartphone
