The Retread Production Manager supervises, coordinates, and is responsible for the daily activities of the retread plant. Job Duties:

Personnel:
Lead and direct production technicians to achieve production goals. Assign technicians to workstations and provide initial and ongoing training as needed or required. Ensure technicians maintain the required company or regulatory certifications. Monitor work levels and review performance. Review and approve timecards. Recommend personnel actions such as hires, promotions, discharges, and discipline. Supervise daily huddles with production team.
Safety:
Promote a culture of safety. Abide by all OSHA and Bandag requirements. Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and machinery, and provide safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or safety violations. Investigate accidents/injuries and prepare reports of findings as directed. Participate in and/or conduct safety meetings.
Property:
Conduct inspections of tools, machinery, equipment, and physical premises as needed or required. Perform or supervise repairs or replacements as needed. Maintain all production-related assets by efficiently and proactively ordering, receiving, unloading and storing tread and other retread materials. Keep the plant neat and organized. Conduct counts as directed.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
Follow SOPs and enforce company policies and procedures as they relate to the retread plant. Communicate with related departments as needed.
Budgeting and Financial Knowledge:
Be aware of the retread plant’s budget and conduct payroll and inventory practices to stay on budget and fulfill goals.
Shipping and Receiving Coordination:
Cooperate with the Shipping and Receiving Department to ensure efficient and accurate intake and transfer of all incoming and finished goods. Team building, coaching and developing all plant associates

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years retreading experience
• Experience managing others
• Demonstrated history of high performance
• Demonstrated history of teamwork and enthusiasm
• Computer skills, including retread software preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
